September is “National Good Neighbor Month,” and in the spirit of this special time, we would like to take the opportunity to share about a unique part of our senior living community – our Memory Care Neighborhood.

Here at Rock Creek Senior Living we strive to make our Neighborhood a special place, not just for our residents, but for everyone who comes to visit and join in our daily festivities. We celebrate being good neighbors every day.

We call our Memory Care communities “Neighborhoods” because we create and foster a homelike environment. We truly want the Memory Care community to feel like its own little neighborhood.

Our Memory Care Neighborhood is special to our residents because the environment has been designed for them. I’m constantly moving things around or bringing in new items for individuals. The environment is only functional if it works for the people in it.

We love involving families. We encourage loved ones to be a part of the daily routine, neighborhood events, and community-wide functions. Including families is enriching for the residents and provides comfort to the family.
